What Does It Mean To “Self Improve?”

March 31st, 2008

Self Improvement has become mainstream. In the last few years,
since I have been writing articles and submitting them to
article sites, I’ve noticed that the category of “Self
Improvement” has been showing up lately when it was never there
before. To me, this is very good news.

But what does it really mean to “Self Improve?” What are we
really improving when we self improve? And what “self” are we
improving?

We each have two “selves” - our wounded self and our core Self.
Our core Self is our true self, our natural soul self - our
essence. Our core Self is our passion, our joy, our gifts and
talents, our ability to love, our creativity. We come into this
life as our core Self, and when this Self is loved and valued by
our parents, we continue to naturally grow our God-given gifts
and talents and manifest the fullness of our beings. This Self
wants to improve by learning the skills necessary to fully
express itself.

But when this Self is not seen and valued in the way we needed,
we create an alternative self, a self we hope will have control
over getting the love we need and avoiding the pain we can’t
handle - a self to help us feel safe. This is our false self,
our wounded self, our ego self. This self is filled with the
false beliefs that we absorbed as we were growing up - beliefs
that end up limiting our true, core Self. This self does not
needs improving - it needs healing.

The term “self improvement” can sometimes be a bit misleading,
because we do not want to improve our wounded self. We do not
want to improve on the ways we lie, manipulate, and avoid in our
attempts to have control over getting love and avoiding pain. We
don’t want to improve on our many addictions to substance and
processes. We don’t want to improve on our anger, our
compliance, our withdrawal and our resistance.

We want to heal it.

Healing and improving are not the same thing.

We can certainly self-improve when it comes to skills. We can
improve in sports, in art, music, writing, cooking. We can
improve our health and wellbeing by improving our diet and
exercise program. We can improve in the knowledge we need to be
more successful regarding work and money. We might be able to
improve our relationships by learning new communication skills.
But what if acquiring new knowledge and skills does not improve
our health, or our ability to earn money, or our relationships?
And what if learning new skills does not bring us more joy and
inner peace? It may mean that we need to heal the underlying
fears and false beliefs that cause us to be anxious, depressed,
stressed, guilt-ridden, shamed, withdrawn, angry, blaming, or
sad.

Sometimes Self Improvement just means practicing a skill, and
others times it means that we need to participate in a deep
healing process. For example, many people try to improve their
health by losing weight and exercising. But if their food
addictions are covering over unhealed pain, they might not be
able to just change their diet. They might need to open to a
healing process in order to eventually improve.

If you are really trying to self improve but find yourself stuck
and unable to progress, or find that you have no joy or inner
peace, you might want to open to the possibility that unhealed
pain and beliefs are blocking your progress and causing your
pain. It is easy to improve yourself when there is nothing
blocking the way. But if you have old false beliefs about your
adequacy and worth, these beliefs may be blocking your ability
to take loving action in your own behalf. All your efforts to
self improve will not bring you the satisfaction you are seeking
if you have beliefs that are keeping you limited in fully
expressing your true, core Self. If you are stuck, then you need
to seek out a healing process, such as the Inner Bonding process
we teach, that will move you out of the fears and beliefs that
limit you. Healing these fears and limiting beliefs will open
the door to improving your life in all ways!

The Most Common Credit Card FAQs

March 31st, 2008
  1. What is a credit card?

A credit card is a small plastic card with a magnetic strip that is issued by a bank or other financial institution. It authorises card holders to purchase services and goods on credit.

  2. What kinds of credit cards are available?

There are many kinds of credit cards available, but they break down into two different main kinds. Charge cards allow you to charge items to your account but expect that you will pay off your full balance each month, Credit cards also allow you to charge items to your account, but let you pay for your purchases over time and charge you interest on the outstanding balance.

  3. What’s the best kind of credit card?

There’s no single answer to that question, because it depends entirely on your circumstances. Only you can decide whether you’re better off with a low interest card, one that offers cashback or rewards, or some combination of those. In general, most people prefer a credit card that offers a low APR - but that may not be the best choice for someone who pays their balance in full each month.

  4. What is an APR?

APR stands for annual percentage rate. Credit card companies make their money in many different ways. One of those ways is by charging you interest on the money that you borrow to buy things. The annual percentage rate is the percentage of your outstanding balance that you’ll be charged in interest charges. If your APR is 12%, for instance, you’ll pay ₤12 interest per year on ₤100.

  5. How do I get a lower APR?

The APR that you’re offered is completely dependent on your credit score, the higher your credit score, the lower rate of interest you’ll be offered. If you have a record of paying your bills on time, you’ll be offered a credit card with a low APR. If you pay you bills on time and keep your accounts up to date, you’ll qualify for a lower APR in time.

  6. What’s a secured credit card?

If you can’t qualify for a regular credit card because of low or no credit, a secured credit card may be the solution that you need. You simply deposit a sum of money into a bank account with the bank that issues your card. Your spending limit will be a portion of that deposit. That money will remain in the account as security in case you don’t pay your account. If you make regular payments when they’re due, the issuing company will eventually approve a regular credit card for you.

  7. How do I compare credit cards to decide which one is best for me?

There are many different standards of comparison when you’re choosing a credit card - interest rates, annual fees, finance charges, penalties and late fees - even how your interest charge is determined. You can compare credit cards against each another at comparison websites where you’ll find all the information you need to compare credit offers from dozens of UK companies.

  8. How do I apply for a credit card?

Applying for a credit card online is easy, too. From the comparison websites you can just click on the offer that you’ve chosen to fill out a short application. In many cases, you can have an answer within minutes.

A Dog Bit Me, Whom Can I Sue?

March 31st, 2008

Any person, whether a minor or adult, having been bitten or knocked down by an animal improperly or inadequately leashed or contained can sue for injuries or death caused by a bite or knock-down. You can sue the person who has or was responsible for the animal. For a person to be responsible they need not be the owner of the animal. However, an owner who maintains some control over the animal remains liable even if the animal is partly under the care of others.

You may be entitled to recover damages for past and future and medical expenses, past and future wage loss, past and future pain and suffering, and if it is deemed that conduct is severe enough, punitive damages (punishment damages against the defendant). If the victim dies, his or her survivors are entitled to recover full compensation for their financial losses that resulted from the victim’s death, as well as emotional distress damages. If the survivors can prove that the victim lived for a period of time between the negligent act and death, they can also bring an action for punitive damages.

You can also sue if you were fleeing from an animal, and you reasonably feared for your safety and can prove that the owner or possessor of the dog knew or should have known of the dog’s propensity to attack people walking nearby, and failed to act accordingly.

So if you own an animal with a propensity for biting strangers, make sure it is safely contained fenced, chained, boxed, whatever is necessary to protect you, your animal, and potential plaintiffs. If you are bitten by an animal and it creates a situation where a lawsuit is appropriate, be informed as to the criteria under which you can pursue and obtain damages.

5 Proven Methods to Building Traffic

March 31st, 2008

As the internet age advances, more and more businesses are finding new life online. The potential benefits of such a venture are great as the internet allows for access to millions of possible customers across the globe. The startup costs tend to be lower as many entrepreneurs run their online businesses from home. Unlike a physical store or office, online businesses are usually open 24hrs a day, everyday. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the success rate for startup online businesses is about 10% as 9 out of 10 online businesses simply don’t work. Getting traffic to your site can be the most difficult of tasks. There you are eager and ready, your website looks great, your merchandise or service is ready and the future seems bright. So how do you get people to come to your site? The following will give you 5 methods that will help steer you in the correct direction.

1. Search Optimization

Search optimization is the method used to allow for your website to be ranked higher as a result of a search for specific keywords or phrases by a search engine such as Google or Yahoo. Businesses will target certain keywords that are relevant to their content and place them on the homepage and/or other pages on their site. As an example we can look at the online retailer, Jewelrypayless.com. They optimize words such as silver jewelry or “men’s ring”, etc. When Google receives a request for one of these key words jewelrypayless.com will come up in the search results. It is, however, not as easy as this. Your site may show up on page 100 buried deep within the search result listings. In order to get listed higher more work has to be done, as described in this article. Also, the act of optimizing a site requires some knowledge of HTML which is the basic language with which websites are built. You can use an HTML editor such Dreamweaver or Frontpage to add keywords to the pages which you are optimizing.

2. Linking Strategy

Websites often reserve an area of their site dedicated to links. The page usually consists of categorized links pointing to other recommended sites. Usually, websites will exchange links for mutual benefit. The more links you have pointing to your site, the better. Links to your site(inbound) show the search engines that your site has value. The best way to go about this process is to establish good content on your site and begin targeting websites you would link to exchange links with. You can buy software to help you do this or you can manually send out link exchange invitations via email.

3. Pay Per Click

The fastest way to get traffic is through pay-per-click advertising. Essentially, every time a web surfer clicks on an ad of your creation, you will pay. The price can range from 25 cents to $2 per click depending on the popularity of the keyword or phrases you’ve chosen. Basically, your ad will pop up in an area designated for paid ads once the keyword has been searched. It is important that you understand the correct keywords for your business in order to avoid paying unnecessary fees for irrelevant keywords. The most effective and popular of the pay per click ad sponsors are Google and Overture. You can also use shopping malls such as Nextag.com, Bizrate.com or Shopping.com to advertise via pay-per-click. Make sure to set your budget and monitor the results carefully making adjustments as you go along. Pay-per-click can be unreasonably expensive if not managed carefully.

4. Affiliates

Affiliates are companies, individuals and organizations that you have established business relationships with in order to increase your exposure and sales revenue. Affiliates send traffic to your site via a link representing your business on their site. If the prospective customer should buy from you the affiliate gets a commission from the transaction. In order to use affiliates you are required to register with an affiliate program and begin recruiting affiliates to work for you. Offering a handsome commission can attract affiliates to sign up. Having a professional website that will be easy for them to integrate with their own site can also peak the interests of potential affiliates. Always treat your affiliates well, paying them on time and communicating with them on a regular basis.

5. Offline Advertising

An often neglected part of marketing online businesses, offline advertising, can be an effective means by which to bring in new customers and create “word of mouth” interest in your site. Ads in magazines, newspapers, tv, radio and local publications are some of the ways through which you can promote your business. Passing out flyers or sending out postcards can also result in new business, especially if you are offering a discount in the form of an exclusive coupon code. Be creative in trying to promote your business on a grass roots level. Read books such as “Guerilla Marketing” by Jay Levinson to gain insight on how to go about marketing in a cost effective manner.

In conclusion, succeeding online can be difficult but rewarding. If you use these methods to help you in your research and application of a business and marketing strategy, along with sacrificing time and putting forth a strong effort there is a good chance that you will be successful with your online business.

Breast Augmentation (safely and successfully) through Natural or Artificial Means

March 30th, 2008

*** Natural Breast Enhancement****

The past decade has seen a significant rise and notice in the validity of herbal treatment for ailments and cosmetic improvements notwithstanding the area of natural breast enhancement. Most of the current breast enhancement products promise anywhere to ‘definite improvement in firmness’ to ‘within 1-3 months time’ a gain of at least one cup. All use some type of phyto-estrogenic derivative in varying ratios and other fillers. Although, the range of raw materials used (commonly red clover, fenugreek, fennel, and others) have shown historically, tribally, and scientifically to stimulate breast growth, it may not be valid for most of their costumers.

What is not as widely heralded is the growing disappointment of the costumers of these commercial breast enlargement products. Comsumeraffars.com reports on 7-12-04 of the company Herbal Breast being sued by the state of Washington., “The consumer protection suit filed in King County Superior Court accuses Nature’s Advantage LLC, and its Marysville, WA, owner, Vaughn Wolfe, of making numerous unsubstantiated claims for the breast-enhancement products on two websites …” Another, headline reads “Small Breast Solutions’ Agrees To Halt Sales” as this company sold a breast enhancement mix which largely failed to live up to its promises also. The list is beginning to grow. Still, however the science of breast enhancement is very real.

Breast growth is stimulated by a sacred balance of hormones such as the precursor hormone progesterone and its derivatives estrogen and testosterone. Other factors included Human Growth and I-GHF hormones which assist with timing of the release of these hormones. Prolactin and progesterone work to promote glandular growth. Prolactin and estrogen work synergistically to allow fat storage, mainly in the breasts. Estrogen alone promotes fat storage. In women, the level of this hormone is generally higher as compared to men. It provides to reason how women are generally more curvaceous. The latter are all observations scientifically proven. It’s also been proven that some herbs and food sources simulate the estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone hormones in the human body. The plant source of estrogen is referred to as phyto-estrogen, of testosterone as phyto-androgen, and of progesterone as phyto-progesterone. Some foods rich in phyto-estrogens include thyme, turmeric, fenugreek, licorice, and many, many others. Upon some thought, Italians have diets rich in fennel, licorice, and turmeric and certainly have their share of busty females, but we digress.

In the United States, the range of diets include many variations of estrogenic foods, however, all here are definitely not busty. The great news is that it is possible to determine the correct hormonal sources to stimulate your own breast growth.

***The Best Natural Breast Enlargement Solution ****

The key to natural breast enlargement success is correctly simulating the woman’s system with the correct natural breast enhancing herbs. Where the current commercial natural breast enhancement products generally fail is that their formulation does not account of the individual genetic make-up of each woman. Each and every human being is unique. Therefore you can not give the same item, same formulation to any one and expect the same results. Hence why all pharmaceuticals list the side effects observed for the use of that product. To eliminate the chance of side effects, scientists would need to test the 5+ billion people of this earth in controlled studies- an impossible feat. This is where the e-book product offered on Real Health Method for natural breast enlargement comes of significant use.

‘Real Breasts, Real Health’ uses a special innate talent that all humans have, dubbed the p-method, to help a woman pick the herbs, vitamins, minerals, foods, diet to provide the perfect conditions for breast growth. The book also details common mistakes during this kind of regimen and tips and motivation for staying on track. Additionally, those with any concerns for breast cancer by using products will learn their how prone they are and what to use to not only avoid increasing those risks but grow breasts also

The age range of successful natural breast enhancement customers is from 18-55, menstrual and menopausal. Testimonies include reduction of PMS and HRT symptoms in the process. The regimens of the younger set are more filled with vitamins and a few herbs taking from 2-4 months to grow a full cup, while those closer to menopause or in it full-blown have a more weighty program including usually including the use of progesterone cream, BE herbs, vitamins, and minerals; they also average from 4-8 months for the first cup. Both groups’ subsequent cups were faster. After a year; the younger set- 3+ cups, older set: 2+ cups. Starting range is AAA to saggy C’s. The success rate of 1+ cup of growth for those who master the technique is 93.8% and improving. Incredibly, the costs of these regimens have ranged from $200- $1000 for permanent growth. Others have been able to circumvent having to spend $10,000 or more for re-surgeries by learning that they were allergic to silicone in quantities of more than 6 cc’s and chose the healthier chose of just explants.

**** How to know if Breast Implant Surgery is a Healthiest Route for you***

By far the most proven method for bust-fully enhancing your profile, breast augmentation surgery is no where close to the safest. Besides the costs, there are serious health concerns with silicone-laced, saline-filled implants whether textured or not. If there was a way to learn if even the ’safe’ implants would be of systemic jeopardy, would you? You can, using the p-method detailed in this guide. Inside are also the basics for helping to make a final decision in this very important process including how to find the best doctor, which implants to consider, what location is best to put them in, which incisions are best, and much more!

Did you also realize it takes from 6-12 months for most implants to ‘drop’ to a natural profile? In this same amount of time, you could grow your own real improvements without the pain or costs of surgery.

The concept is simple, and results are very real. No empty promises or chances of lawsuits here. So, for those whom breast surgery is not a viable option or for those for whom it is, learn in advance what you’re getting into with the help of this guide. For those who are interested in natural breast enhancement, learn what it entails and how to use the revolutionary p-method for success. With a 90-day, 100% money-back refund guarantee, how can investing approximately $15 for the book’s purchase lead you wrong? Folks throw away more money on four Starbuck’s cups of coffee in a week.

Networking in the Change Room: 5 Ways to Network Effectively While Getting Undressed

March 30th, 2008

There’s a time and place to network with people in order to generate leads, build rapport and form meaningful relationships. The change room at your gym, spa or country club isn’t one of them. It’s a lousy place to do any networking. Things dangle, imperfections are visible and being naked means that you’re vulnerable.

If the person is a yapper, you’re stuck listening to him since you won’t be able to scurry away to your car in your birthday suit. If the person is a looker, you may feel embarrassed asking her to keep her eyes focused on your own.

If you bump into someone you’ve been trying to get in touch with, and he’s standing in front of you half-naked, here’s some tips to remember to avoid embarrassment.

  1. Don’t stare. At a networking event, it’s perfectly fine to look at what someone’s wearing and even comment on how they look. In the change room, this is a no-no. Whether the person has a mole on their butt or a rash on their thigh, resist the temptation of eyeing that spot. Also, never ask how they got it. Instead, glance at the spot quickly, then return your focus to the person’s eyes.

  2. Keep your eyes at eye level. While networking, it’s common for people to make eye contact then let their eyes fall down to your chest area to read your nametag. Don’t do this in the change room. Nothing is more embarrassing then dropping your eyes to scan the person in their birthday suit. Your best bet is to pretend the person is wearing a full body chastity suit and that you can’t see anything below his or her neck.

  3. Don’t have a long chat. At a networking event, it’s okay to engage people for at least 5-minutes to find out who they are and how you can help them. In the change room, people are often not in the business frame of mind. For example, someone at the gym is there to workout and may need to get back to office quickly. Someone at the spa is there to relax and has left the office at the office. If you must chat, keep it very pleasant and very short. Then, promise to follow-up by email or phone later in the day.

  4. Resist the handshake. In a normal networking situation, shaking hands is proper business etiquette. However, while in the change room, resist the urge to stick out your hand. The person may have hair gel, body lotion or some other gooey substance all over their fingers. The last thing you want to do is stand there after a handshake with something wet drying all over your fingers as you chat. Instead, simply wave hello, keep your distance and just smile.

  5. Don’t ask “Why are you here?” This is a normal question at a networking event. People are dying to know what you’re looking for so they can help you. In the change room, asking that question is either stating the obvious or can be awkward. If you’re at the gym, assume they’re working out. If the person’s at the doctor’s office, most likely they have a medical condition that they’d prefer to discuss with their doctor. If you must ask questions, try asking about the family, a recent vacation or what they’re reading these days and stay away from asking about the obvious.

Networking in the change room can happen, just remember how to do it effectively to avoid an awkward encounter. Keep your eyes level, resist the urge to touch and you’ll soon learn that networking while undressed can be rewarding to the growth of your business.

14 Ways Musicians Can Increase Their Tips

March 30th, 2008

I was listening to NPR the other day when they did a report on tipping in the restaurant industry. One they had a list of tips on how wait staff can increase their tips.

That got me brainstorming and surfing the net for other ideas to boost tips. That combined with lots of performances at Renaissance Festivals helped me to develop my own list of ways musicians can improve their tips.

1. Introduce yourself by name

Too often musicians forget to introduce themselves on stage. Make sure you tell the audience your band name, but to really boost your tips, you should also introduce yourselves individually. Let people know who you are as an individual and you’ll see greater tips.

2. Go out into the audience with a tip jar

You really can’t be passive when it comes to getting tips. You have to walk out into the audience with some visual reference that says “Tip Me!”, and they will tip you.

3. Meet your audience at their level

Take the time to talk to your audience members at their level. Holding a discussion from a stage puts a wall between you and them. So instead, go out into the audience and talk to them face to face. Kneel if they’re at a table, so you’re at eye level. And if you have ayour tip jar with you, you will you will not only gain a fan, but you will also improve your tips.

4. Make your appearance personal

We wear kilts to most of our gigs. A kilt adds a very personal touch It links us to a certain culture and makes people take notice. Course you don’t have to go that route, instead find some piece of clothing that reflects your personality and you will boost your tips.

5. Recommend your favorite CD

If you have multiple CDs, your audience will always ask for your favorite. Tell them what it is. If you only have one, you can do the same by recommending other artists that you like. That adds a two-fold advantage of helping your audience find music they like and helping your fellow musicians.

6. Smile

A bright, confident smile will bring fans back again and again with lots o’big tips.

7. Involve your audience in the music with a joke or game

Next time you’re up on stage, see what happens when you joke around with the audience. Your personality will glow all the more and so will your tips.

8. Chat with fans by name

Music fans love nothing more than to be recognized by the bands they love. So do your best to remember their names. They will feel that much more attached to your music and feel like your friend. And these friends will tip you better for the courtesy.

9. Touch your audience

When you’re out socializing with your audience, touch them (in a non-sexual way). Whether you shake their hand, pat them on the shoulder or back, or just brush against them, wait staff find that that even that will boost their tips 50%. And it will yours too.

10. Use tip jars with the VISA/Mastercard Logo

According to studies done in restaurants, just seeing those logos is enough to encourage customers to tip more. I know it sounds crazy, but give it a try. You may be pleasantly surprised with the results.

11. Give your audience something in return for their tip

People love feeling like they’re getting their money’s worth. And many people don’t realize you should tip bands. So give something in return. It could be something as big as a sticker or magnet, or as simple as a business card that might include a $1 off your CDs. Or hey what about feeding their sweet tooth with a piece of candy. Whatever the case, that little gift will mean big tipping results.

12. Draw a picture

On a similar note, if you give them a business card, draw or make a comment on it. That piece will be more valuable to them and will result in bigger tips.

13. Make tipping a part of the show

Why wait until the end of the set to ask for tips. Sing a song about tipping, or get your audience involved in the tipping process by shouting something. Or offer a prize to the first tipper. But integrate it into your show and it won’t seem like you’re just begging for money, rather you’re making it fun to tip.

14. Thank your audience

No gig would be complete without an audience. So thank them for taking the time to watch you perform. They will feel the personal touch and respond when you ask for money.

15. Bonus Tipping Suggestion:

If the change is five dollars, never return a five-dollar bill. Always give back five ones. This allows the customer to tip you with some of the dollar bills you returned. You will rarely get a $5 tip and returning a $5 bill will turn off tippers. In general, it’s good to return all ones if the change is less than $8. You want the customer to have at least two ones so they can give it back as the tip.

So before we start we need to get our hands on some props. All you need is two bottles or boxes about 20 inches high (Maybe even alittle higher) and a stick about 6 feet long which you can lay across the top of them so you form an arch or a small hockey goal.

Now you need to place your hockey goal (Two bottles and a
stick) right on the edge of the green.

Now the fun begins

Take five golfballs and set them down just 1 foot behind thehockey goal, yes just 1 foot. Now your aim here is to chip each of the five balls over the edge of the fringe and land them on the green.

However you must make sure that the ball goes underneath the stick and it must stay on the green Do this 3 times making sure that you get each ball underneath the stick and staying on the green. If you hit the chip over the stick, or the ball does not stay on the green, or it
knocks down your hockey goal then you must start from the
beginning

Once you have completed 3 sets of 5 chips from a foot, repeat the excercise from 2 feet, 4 feet and 8 feet.

If you hit the chip over the stick, or the ball does not stay on the green, or it knocks down your hockey goal at any point then you must start from the beginning. And when i say the beginning, I mean from the one foot chips. Yes, you must start from the one foot chips.

This is a great drill because it really focusses you on making a solid contact with the ball. You will also find that you will pinch the ball off of the turf and this in itself will impart check spin on the ball.

Well thats the under part of the drill.

Now for the over part of the drill.

This is similar but this time you are not going to alter the position from which you hit the balls but the position of your hockey goal.

Find yourself a long green (about 40 yards if possible) and position the hockey goal about 5 yards onto the green.

Now set your 5 balls down about two to three feet off of the green (give yourself a good lie) and make sure you are directly facing your hockey goal.

Now the aim here is similar to the under.

But this time you must first chip all 5 balls over thehockey goal

Once you have completed 3 sets of 5 chips with the hockey
goal five yards away, repeat the excercise with the hockey
goal 10 yards away, 15 yards away and finally 20 yards away.

If you hit the chip under the stick, or the ball does not stay on the green, or it knocks down your hockey goal at any point then you must start from the beginning. And when i say the beginning, I mean chipping over the hockey goal from 5 yards away. Yes, you must start from the beginning again.

This is a great drill because it really focuses you on commiting to get the ball up and carrying a certain distance. This drill is really good because the further your hockey goal is away from the edge of the green the more lofted club you have to use.

Now with this drill you will make plenty of mistakes and this one will really test your patience. But stick with it and it will reward your patience by helping you when you get out on the course for a proper round.

Good luck and enjoy your golf.

Affordable Alternative Health Insurance

March 29th, 2008

Health insurance can be a very frustrating subject for some people. Typical health plans are very expensive, and they have many restrictions. More than likely, they will only cover medical bills from a select few health care professionals that are in their network. Pre-existing conditions are more than likely not covered in the insurance policy. For the little coverage you will receive, as well as all of the restrictions placed on you and the high premium payments, health insurance companies will also force you to pay a large deductible before they begin to pay for your medical bills. If this describes your health care policy, do not worry because there are other options.

Providing health care insurance is a large industry with many providers available. Each provider can give you different types of benefits as well as costs. Depending on the type of health insurance you need, you should look at different providers so that you can save a lot of money as well as increase your benefits.

The traditional insurance policy is the “fee-for-service” type. In this policy, you pay the insurance company a fee in the form of the premium, and they reimburse the doctor, hospital or other health care provider for all or part of the fees charged. This form of policy will offer you the most freedom, but it will require you to pay more for benefits.

The other type of insurance policy is known as the “managed care” plan. This plan usually costs less than the “fee-for-service” plan, but it contains more restrictions. This form of policy requires approvals before you receive any service, including visits to some specialists. If you have this type of health care plan, the only way for you to get medical treatment that the insurance will pay for is to go to a doctor or hospital that is affiliated with your insurance network. In most cases, your insurance company will not pay for services provided by doctors that are not part of their network.
